African XI: Udeze Question Exclusion Of Ekong

Former Nigerian International Ifeanyi Udeze has questioned the exclusion of Super Eagles defender William Troost Ekong from the African XI, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The name Ekong was missing from the list of the African XI from the CAF Award despite being the Most Valuable Player of the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

While speaking on Brila FM, Udeze said Ekong's spot should be automatic.

"Troost Ekong is the AFCON MVP, why isn’t he on the Africa Best XI?

"He doesn’t need a vote, his place should be automatic.,” Udeze said.
