Afrocan: D'Tigers Beat Gabon, Qualify For Quarterfinal

Nigeria's D'Tigers returned to winning ways on Wednesday afternoon with a comfortable 71-55 victory over Gabon, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

After securing a win over Mali in the opening game, Angola defeated D'Tigers in the second match to play a classification game against Gabon for quarterfinal ticket.

The Nigerian side bounced strongly on Wednesday to reach the quarter-final of the championship after handing a defeat to senior national basketball team of Gabon.

The two were were tied at 18-18 at the end of the first quarter but D'Tigers steered clear in a 2nd way with a 25-15 win.

They extended their lead in the 3rd quarter with 15-13 before wrapping up in the final quarter 15-8.

Nigeria will face the 2019 champions DR Congo in their next match.
