Age-grade National Teams: Balele Chairs Inaugurated Three-man Task Force

The President, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Gusau on Thursday inaugurated the three-man task force whose primary duty is to advise the federation on the succesful preparations of three national teams ahead of international competitions, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

The inauguration became necessary as U23 Men's national team will on this weekend trade tackles with their Tanzania counterparts in the 2023 CAF African Nations Cup (AFCON) qualifier.

NFF had on Wednesday appointed respected football administartor and Chairman of Katsina State Football Association, Aminu Balele Kurfi, Chairman of FCT Football Association, Abba Mouktar Mohammed and Sports Marketing guru, Hon. Bukola Olopade and in order to immediately start working on succesful outings of Nigeria U23 the federation inaugurated the three-man panel of task force just 24 hours after their appointment.

The inauguration rite was performed on Thursday morning at the NFF Secretariat, Sunday Dankaro House, Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja so as to resume duty immediately.

Balele was named the Chairman while Bukola Olopade becomes the Vice-Chairman and Mouktar Mohammed, Member of the task force.

The task force according to the NFF President, Ibrahim Gusau is to play advisory role on the adequate preparations of Nigeria age grade National Teams which include; the Golden Eaglets, Flying Eagles and Olympics Eagles.

The Chairman of the Task Force, Balele admitted that task ahead is huge but believed that itvis achievable wwith support from Nigerians.

He however appealed for supports from Nigerians particularly the media. "We need maximum support from everyone for our national teams to succeed. It is not going to be easy but we can do it with the supports of Nigerians and the media.

The assignment given to us is huge. To prepare the national teams for successful tournaments is not an easy task. The reason is that the U23 will be in action when the league is not on but that will not be a problem as we will do everything in making sure that all the teams do well.

He said the panel will work with the Technical Committee and the Board of the Federation. We will work with Executive Committee member and the Technical Committee of the NFF as well as the Media for successful preparations of all the age-grade National Teams."
