Ahmed Musa, Babayaro, Women's Affairs Mandate Secretary Lead Star Guests at KSL Grand Finale

The 2025 edition of the Kids Soccer League (KSL) will come to a thrilling close on Saturday, August 2, with a grand finale and awards ceremony scheduled to take place at the HOFK Garden, beside Hotel 2020, Wuye, Abuja, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The event will be graced by notable dignitaries including former Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa, Women's Affairs Mandate Secretary, Dr. Mrs. Adedayo Benjamins-Laniyi, 2016 Olympic gold medalist Emmanuel Babayaro, and former NFF Secretary General, Ambassador Fanny Amun.
Also expected are members of the FCT Football Association Board and key stakeholders from Nigeria’s football community.
The Kids Soccer League, an initiative championed by former Nigeria international and Olympian Femi Ajilore (OLY), featured eight teams competing in a full league format, with home and away fixtures across the U-8, U-10, and U-13 categories.
“It has been a successful season, and we are set to wrap it up in style,” said Ajilore, who also serves as Chairman of the KSL Local Organizing Committee.
“The final day will feature exciting matchups, including a showdown between the league’s top teams and a specially selected all-star team.”
He emphasized the importance of the tournament to Nigeria’s grassroots football development, aligning with the goals of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the FCT Football Association (FCT FA).
“Parents’ support has been overwhelming,” he noted.
“Match days are always filled with excitement as families come out to cheer their children.”
In addition to the on-field action, the event will feature a presentation of individual and team awards, including consolation prizes and recognition for outstanding players in various categories.
Ajilore expressed appreciation for the support of the KSL Committee and the FCT FA Chairman, Muktar Mohammed, stating, “Their support has been instrumental in making this league a model for youth football in the country.”
The KSL Local Organizing Committee includes: Chairman: Oluwafemi E. Ajilore (OLY), Technical Director: Barr. Lawal Audu Muhammed, Welfare Officer: Mrs. Gbemisola Ajilore, Planning Coordinator: Mr. Daniel Okeiyi, Strategic Partners: Eddie and Ola from Slum2Stardom.
The event promises to be a celebration of talent, discipline, and the future of Nigerian football.
