Ahmed Musa, Ighalo, Other Super Eagles players Congratulate Awoniyi

Captain, Ahmed Musa, Odion Ighalo have joined a list of Super Eagles Stars that have sent congratulatory message to Taiwo Awoniyi, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

Awoniyi completed a £17.5m move to Nottingham Forest from German Bundesliga side, Union Berlin on Saturday and became the newly-promoted Premier League side most expensive signing.

Leading by example, Musa posted on the comments section of Awoniyi's thank you post on his verified Instagram account.

"Congrats mate, wish you good luck in your new team ❤️🔥👏," read Musa's post.

Ighalo and Shehu Abdualahi posted simply, "Congrats Bro."

Awoniyi's playmate at the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup in United Arab Emirates, Kelechi Iheanacho was full of praise for the former Union Berlin ace.

"Congratulations my man, you deserve everything 👏👏," Iheanacho said.

Former Super Falcons captain and Barcelona women football striker, Asisat Oshoala also hailed Awoniyi with an hilarious post which read: "Congratulations Ilorin."

Awoniyi, made a mark in German scoring 20 goals in 43 games across all competitions last season. His 15 goals in 31 Bundesliga matches also helped Union Berlin secure a fifth-place finish and qualification for the Europa League for the first time since 2001/2002.
