Ahmed Musa Injured, To Miss Friendly Clash With Algeria In Oran

It's injury woes for Super Eagles coach Jose Santos Peseiro as captain Ahmed Musa is set to miss Nigeria's international tune-up game against 2019 AFCON champions Algeria after he picked up an injury while on duty for Sivasspor, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Musa was listed in Peseiro's 25-man Super Eagles squad that will battle the Desert Foxes in the Algerian town of Oran on Tuesday, September 27.

Turkish news source İhlas News Agency informed late Sunday, that Ahmed Musa was injured for Sivasspor in the 2-1 defeat against MKE Ankaragücü.

It was a 7th-week fixture of the Super League, and Sivasspor were a guest of MKE Ankaragücü.

Experienced Red-whites forward Ahmed Musa was injured due to stretching of his left arm in a duel with an opposing player. 

Musa came to the sidelines after his treatment on the field. For precaution, the 29-year-old was later replaced by Clinton N'Jie in the 19th minute.

The extent of his injury will be known today (Monday), as his expected to undergo further comprehensive medical checks.

Recall on Thursday, the Nigerian was substituted after picking up a slight injury in Sivasspor’s narrow UEFA Europa Conference League victory against CFR Cluj of Romania.
