Aina Reacts To Premier League Man Of The Match Award

Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina has expressed his delight after winning his first-ever Premier League Player of the Match award, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigeria international earned the recognition following his impressive display in Forest’s goalless draw against Fulham F.C. at the City Ground on Sunday.

Aina delivered a solid defensive performance throughout the encounter, finishing the game with the most tackles (four) and the highest number of duels won (four). 

He also recorded 10 clearances, three recoveries and one interception to help his side keep a clean sheet.

The 29-year-old nearly made the difference in the second half but saw his effort strike the woodwork.

Reacting to the individual honour, the former Chelsea F.C. defender celebrated the milestone on his official Snapchat account.

“1st ever one,” Aina wrote while posting a photo of himself holding the award.

Aina has made 14 league appearances for Nottingham Forest F.C. this season, registering one assist so far.
