Former European Champion Ajax Amsterdam has officially announced the arrival of Nigeria-eligible forward Chuba Akpom, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Dutch giant made the formal announcement on Wednesday of a 5-year deal after agreeing to
pay a transfer fee of €12.3m plus €2m add-ons for the player.
Akpom joined Middlesbrough in 2020 after playing in the Greek League with PAOK Salonika.
The skilful attacker broke all the records in the English Championship last season scoring 28 goals and also won the Player of the Year.
Akpom joined the likes of Finidi George, Kanu Nwankwo, Sunday Oliseh, Ogbonna Kanu, Pius Ikedia, Tijani Babangida and Calvin Bassey who have played for the club in the past.
