Arokodare is set to join Dutch giants Ajax on an initial loan deal from Wolverhampton Wanderers, with an option to make the transfer permanent, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The proposed agreement will see Wolves receive a £1 million loan fee, while an additional payment of around £500,000 could be triggered if Ajax secure European qualification.

Arokodare, who has impressed with his physical presence and goalscoring ability, is expected to strengthen Ajax’s attacking options as the Amsterdam club continues preparations for the new campaign.

The Nigerian forward’s move represents another significant step in his European career, with the loan arrangement giving him an opportunity to compete at one of Europe’s historic clubs while Ajax retain the option to secure his long-term services.
