Nigeria's Kanyinsola Ajayi and Ezekiel Nathaniel are set to represent the country at the London Diamond League on Saturday, July 18, as they continue preparations for the major championships later this season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ajayi will compete in the men's 100 metres, fresh from his impressive victory at the Eugene Diamond League, where he claimed the sprint title with a brilliant performance.

The Nigerian speedster faces another tough test in London against a star-studded field that includes world indoor 60m champion Jordan Anthony, Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo, and 2025 world champion Oblique Seville.

Ajayi will be confident of another strong outing after finishing ahead of Seville at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene. Nathaniel, meanwhile, will line up in the men's 400m hurdles for his second race of the 2026 season.

The Nigerian record holder opened his campaign with a season-best 47.37 seconds and will be looking to improve on that mark.

The 400m hurdles race is expected to be one of the highlights of the meeting, with Nathaniel set to battle world record holder Karsten Warholm, American Trevor Bassitt, and Brazil's Matheus Lima. Both Nigerian athletes will be aiming to continue their impressive form and secure strong performances in London as they build momentum ahead of the season's major international competitions.
