Ajibade, Oshoala, Nnadozie Lead Early Arrivals In Super Falcons Camp

The Super Falcons have commenced preparations for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), with nine players reporting to the team's training camp in Casablanca, Morocco, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to the team's Media Officer, Mary Akinsola, captain Rasheedat Ajibade, first-choice goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and experienced forward Asisat Oshoala are among the first group of players to arrive.

Also in camp are defenders Glory Ogbonna, Oluwatosin Demehin, Rofiat Imuran and Shukurat Oladipo, alongside midfielders Christy Ucheibe and Fatima Oloko.

Akinsola said additional players and members of the technical crew are expected to join the camp in the coming days as Nigeria steps up preparations for the continental tournament.

The 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations will be staged in Morocco from July 25 to August 16, with the Super Falcons targeting a record-extending 10th continental title.

Nigeria has been drawn in Group C alongside Egypt, Zambia and Malawi. Full-scale training is expected to begin once the entire squad has assembled.
