Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, has turned her attention to the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco following Nigeria's successful international friendly engagements against Senegal, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 10-time African champions sent a strong message to their potential rivals ahead of the continental tournament after recording back-to-back victories over Senegal. 

The Super Falcons secured a 2-1 win in the first encounter before completing the double with a commanding 3-0 triumph in Ikenne.

Reflecting on the team's performances, Ajibade expressed pride in leading the Super Falcons and praised the commitment shown by her teammates throughout the international window.

"Another national team engagement concluded and once again I stand proud alongside my teammates after a very successful period," Ajibade said.

"Being a member of the Super Falcons is a great honour and every time we go out there, I consider it a privilege to lead this team.

"The energy, the hunger, the fight in every single one of my teammates this week reminded me exactly why I believe in this team.

"WAFCON is coming, and we are coming with everything we've got to build upon our previous successes.

"To every Super Falcon, thank you for your commitment and dedication. I'm proud of you, and I'm honoured to stand beside you."

Nigeria will head into the 2026 WAFCON in Morocco aiming to extend their dominance on the African continent and add another title to their impressive collection of continental crowns.
