Akinade Onigbinde Eyes First Title With Doma United

Head coach of the Nigeria Professional Football League side, Doma United, Akinade Onigbinde is looking forward to winning his first title with the club by retaining the Gombe State FA Cup trophy they won last year, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Speaking ahead of today's Federation Cup final against Gombe United, Onigbinde said the players and the officials are mentally and physically set to repeat what they did last season when they beat the same opponents in the final to lift the title

"All our focused is shifted to the FA Cup final encounter with Gombe United. Winning the FA Cup in Wednesday final means a lot to me as that would be my first title with the club and the best way to pay back the fans and club owner for their trust in me. We have perfected everything in making sure that we come out victorious."

Doma United shocked Gombe United in the final of the 2022 Gombe state FA Cup by winning the title on penalties.

Regulation time had ended 0-0 before the final was taken to penalities which Doma United jubilating with a 4-2.

The Wednesday FA Cup final will hold at 4:00pm at the Pantani Stadium, Gombe State.

After today's final, Doma United next game will be a home northeast derby against Wikki Tourist of Bauchi on Sunday 16th April 2023 at the Pantami Township Stadium, Gombe.
