Akor Adams, Venezia Reach Agreement On Salary
Ibrahim Lateef
Super Eagles forward, Akor Adams, has reached an agreement with Venezia to leave Sevilla Football Club, who are asking for €15 million for the Nigerian, reports BSNSports.com.
Adams was not present at the José Ramón Cisneros Palacios Sports City on Monday, July 6, the first day of preseason training, as he has a few extra days of rest due to the international matches he played in June.
However, in an extreme and accelerated scenario, there is a possibility that Adams may not return to the Nervión training centre.
The striker has reached an agreement with Venezia to join their ranks next season until 2030, according to reports from Italy and corroborated by several Spanish media outlets.
Thus, the Nigerian's decision to leave Sevilla is all but final, making it highly unlikely that his wish will be denied, despite the current significant financial disparity between the two clubs, though not insurmountable.
The Italian club inquired about the Nigerian player's situation just a few days ago, making an initial financial offer of around €10 million; a move that Sevilla deemed insufficient.
Regarding this, the Nervión club values the player at €15 million, the same figure as his market value, according to the specialised website Transfermarkt, and €5 million less than the amount they set when Venezia's interest first became known.
Akor arrived in Sevilla in January 2025 for just over five million euros, so selling him now would be an opportunity to generate profit, as well as help fund the registration of new signings.
