Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Sevilla FC attacker Akor Adams has revealed that participating in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco significantly boosted his confidence, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Spain-based forward was one of Nigeria’s standout performers during the tournament, scoring three goals to help the Nigeria national football team finish in third place.

Speaking about his experience at the continental showpiece, Adams described playing for Nigeria at the tournament as a major milestone in his career.

“I think my confidence was already good. But playing in the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria was a great privilege, something I’m very grateful for,” Adams said.

The former Montpellier HSC striker also expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to feature in every match during the competition, noting that the experience has helped him grow professionally.

“I was able to play every match and experience the whole thing. It’s a shame we couldn’t win the tournament, but it was a very important step in my career,” he added.

Adams further acknowledged the support and belief he has received from his club’s management and coaching staff, saying it has motivated him to keep working hard.

“I feel it from the club, the sporting director, and the coach. It’s very positive. I try to work hard every day, not only to fulfill my obligations to the team, but also to fulfill my own goals and objectives. Having that confidence in me is something I’m grateful for,” he said.
