Naija Super 8: Remo Stars, Enyimba FC Clash Again In Group A

Former Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Akwa United and Sporting FC of Lagos on Thursday were picked as the two clubs nominated to compete in the preseason tournament in Lagos, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Six teams qualified though playoffs while Akwa United and Sporting FC qualified through wild card.

In the draw where the eight teams were splitted into two groups, Nigeria Premier League Super 6 champions Enyimba International will confront the first runners-up in the just concluded league, Remo Stars in Naija Super 8.

The organiser of the maiden edition of Naija Super 8 conducted the draw in Lagos on Thursday and group A seems to be the toughest.

Sporting Lagos and Katsina United are the other teams in the group and the group consists of Rivers United, Yobe Desert Stars Lobi Stars and Akwa United.

The competition is slated to kick off on the 7th of July, 2023 in Lagos.
