Akwa United Coach Reveals Club Target For The Season

Few days before the resumption of the Second Round of the 2023 Nigeria Premier Football League season, Akwa United coach, Deji Ayeni, has opened up on the club target for the season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ayeni revealed the club target while speaking on Fresh FM 105.9 on Saturday where he also said he was not happy with the way they started the season.

"Based on the way we started because it's not always easy for a team that started like that, I won't say I'm satisfied but I will say it is not good enough.

"I will say rediscovered ourselves to come back to winning ways, so we are now strategising for the second round to make sure that what we experienced first round will not repeat itself.

"If you watched our game against Insurance it was not as if we played badly but football can be very dynamic", he said.

The Promise Keepers are currently third in the group B table of the league.
