Akwa United Set Resumption Date For New Season

Akwa United has announced the resumption date for players and officials of the team to report to camp ahead of preparations for the 2024-25 Nigeria Premier Football League season, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The club has approved Saturday 27 July, 2024 as the resumption date which will commence with training activities. 

According to the Team Manager of the club, "All the players and officials are to report at the training ground on Saturday 27 July to begin intensive preparations for the upcoming football season.

"The NPFL has set a date for the resumption of the new season and looking at the fixtures released by the league organizers, we don’t have the luxury of time, so we (players and officials) have to return to camp and begin preparations and planning for the new season."

Akwa United will visit Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi on Matchday 1 to engage Lobi Stars of Makrudi who will be using Bauchi as their adopted home ground in the new season.
