Al-Hilal On Course For Historic Three-Country League Triumph
Sampson Adedeji
Currently sitting top of the Rwanda Premier League table, Sudanese giants Al-Hilal Omdurman are on the brink of an extraordinary achievement winning league titles in three different countries within the space of 12 months, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The club’s remarkable journey began after they were forced to leave Sudan due to the ongoing conflict in the country.
Seeking continuity and competitive football, Al-Hilal temporarily relocated to Mauritania, where they competed in the domestic top flight.
Despite the challenges of displacement, the Sudanese powerhouse adapted swiftly and finished top of the Mauritanian league standings, underlining their pedigree and resilience.
Upon a brief return to home soil, Al-Hilal also clinched a shortened summer tournament organized domestically, further adding to their silverware haul during a turbulent period.
Now competing in the top division in Rwanda, the club has once again demonstrated its dominance.
They currently lead the Rwandan league table and hold four games in hand over their closest challengers, placing them in a commanding position to secure yet another league crown.
Should they maintain their momentum, Al-Hilal will complete an unprecedented treble of league successes across three different nations in just one year a feat rarely seen in modern African club football.
Their campaign stands as a testament to organizational stability, squad depth, and competitive excellence despite geopolitical adversity.
