As Algeria prepares for their highly anticipated Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 quarter-final showdown against Nigeria, they have opted to stay in Rabat for strategic preparations, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

Algerian news outlet - Les Verts has informed that coach Vladimir Petkovic plans to remain in Rabat and will only travel to Marrakech the day before the crucial match against Nigeria on Saturday. 

Looking ahead to the game, Petkovic expressed confidence: "Many teams would surely have preferred to hold back as the clock wound down, especially knowing a penalty shootout loomed.

 "But our focus has been on defeating DR Congo from the very beginning. This recent scenario has truly boosted our morale as we set our sights on facing Nigeria."
