Algeria will host the 2026 African Swimming Championships in the city of Oran, as the continent’s best swimmers prepare to compete for continental honours, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The championship is scheduled to hold from May 5 to May 10, 2026, at the Miloud-Hadefi Aquatic Complex.

Swimmers from across Africa are expected to take part in the competition, competing in different categories and events in what is regarded as one of the continent’s biggest aquatic championships.

The tournament is also expected to provide a platform for emerging talents to showcase their abilities alongside some of Africa’s established swimming stars.
