Algerian Desert Foxes Talk Tough Ahead Super Eagles Clash In Oran
Ibraheem Lateef Ayodele
Some top players of Algeria Desert Foxes say the Super Eagles will give them a tough game in tonight's international friendly game as they will be vengeful, reports BSNSports.com.ng.
The Foxes after their last practice on Monday evening at the new Miloud Hadefi complex, formerly the new Stade d'Oran, Djamel Belmadi's, expect a more demanding match against the Super Eagles,
“We are going to face a very good team from Nigeria, even if we also had enormous difficulties overcoming the Guinean team which caused us a lot of problems during the previous match. We know that the players of Nigeria will face us with a spirit of revenge since we recorded two victories against them, but our objective will be to win while making a better play compared to the previous match. declared Houcine Benayada,
Alexandre Oukidja, on his part, gave some clues on how Algeria should evolve against Nigeria: “ The selection of Nigeria is not to be presented. It's a very good team that opts for direct play. We will make sure to counter them and follow up with a new victory. Admittedly, we have had two victories against them, but that was played on small details as evidenced by the narrow results of the two meetings. We will therefore have to keep focus to overcome them."
Finally, Sofiane Bendebka, who was recalled following Hicham Boudaoui's injury, also answered questions from the journalists on the game against Nigeria.
" We are going to face a very good Nigerian team made up of players playing mostly in Europe, which will make our mission difficult. We will make sure, we play better compared to the previous game. That said, we are working in good conditions here in Oran, which made this course a success. Even the pitch at the stadium is good, not to mention the fervour of the supporters who supported us wholeheartedly.â€
