Ali Na Yara Hails Kano Pillars' Performance Despite Narrow Defeat at Remo Stars

The Chairman of Kano Pillars FC, Alhaji Ali Muhammad Umar, has commended the performance of the players and technical crew despite their narrow 2-1 defeat to Remo Stars in Ikenne on Saturday.

Speaking to the club's Media & Communications Directorate, Ali Na Yara praised the resilience and determination displayed by the team under the leadership of Head Coach Ahmed Garba Yaro-Yaro. He expressed his satisfaction with their effort, emphasizing that despite the loss, the players showed remarkable fighting spirit.

"I must commend the players and the technical crew for the way they approached the game. From the first whistle to the end of regulation time, they played with passion and dominated the match. Sometimes, football can be cruel, and we were just unlucky not to secure all three points," he said.

The Chairman also highlighted the positive impression Kano Pillars left on the fans, who were captivated by their attacking play and dominance. He noted that while the result was disappointing, the performance was a testament to the team's progress and their ability to compete at the highest level.

He further urged the players and coaching staff to remain focused and work harder towards restoring the club’s former glory.

"We must build on this performance. The season is still ongoing, and I believe with more effort, we will achieve our objectives," he added.

The Sai Masu Gida will now shift their focus to their outstanding Match Day 20 fixture against El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri, scheduled for Wednesday 12th February 2025 at the Sani Abacha Stadium. The Pyramid City side will be aiming to secure maximum points in front of their home fans.
