Former Senegal head coach Aliou Cissé has won his legal dispute against the Libyan Football Federation (LFF), with FIFA ruling in his favour and ordering the federation to pay him €820,000 in compensation, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The decision follows a case brought before FIFA after Cissé's contractual dispute with the Libyan FA.
The world football governing body upheld the former Africa Cup of Nations-winning coach's claim, directing the Libyan federation to settle the compensation.
The ruling represents a significant victory for Cissé, who took charge of Libya after ending his successful tenure with Senegal.
FIFA's decision now places an obligation on the Libyan Football Federation to comply with the payment order.
Neither Aliou Cissé nor the Libyan Football Federation has officially commented on the ruling at the time of reporting.
