Alloy Chuwuemeka, Others Charge ABS Ilorin To Beat Kun Khalifat, Secure NNL Status

Director of Football ABS Ilorin Football Club, Chief Alloy Chuwuemeka, alongside the Chairman of Kwara State Football Association, Malam Idris Musa Abdullahi (Thuraya), have issued a rallying call to the team ahead of their crucial final home fixture against Kun Khalifa FC in the Nigeria National League (NNL), BSNSports.com.ng reports.
ABS Ilorin FC will take on Kun Khalifa in their final home game of the season on Saturday, 14th, June 2025, at the Rashidi Yekini Mainbow Major General George Innih Stadium, Ilorin Kwara State.
Speaking to the players and technical crew during the Team's Salah get-together, Chuwuemeka emphasized the importance of the match, stating that a win would not only earn the team three vital points but would also secure the club’s professional league status.
He conveyed the goodwill message of the club’s Proprietor, His Excellency Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, commending the players for their consistent efforts and positive performances throughout the season.
“Our Proprietor, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has followed your progress. He used to give us gifts during Salah, like Ram upon hearing of your improved performances, he upgraded the ram back to a cow in recognition of your efforts,” Chuwuemeka noted.
He further relayed the proprietor’s message that the players’ Salah celebration package, including the cow, will be made available to them upon their return from Abakaliki.
In a major morale boost, Chuwuemeka announced that all outstanding players' bonuses and salaries had been approved and would be disbursed by Monday morning.
“His Excellency has assured you that he is fully behind you. All bonuses and salaries have been approved and by 10:00 a.m. on Monday, you will receive them. This is a mandate – not just to beat Kun Khalifa, but to beat them convincingly.”
Malam Thuraya echoed the call for total commitment from the players, stressing that Saturday’s game is pivotal to the future of the club.
The leadership also reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the players’ careers and ambitions: “The ABS Ilorin FC platform was created to help young players grow through football. His Excellency remains committed to ensuring that the club progresses to the Premier League going forward. With your dedication, we believe this dream is achievable.”
ABS Ilorin FC calls on all fans and supporters to rally behind the team this Saturday as they push to secure their place in the Nigeria National League.
