Nigerian football icon Daniel Amokachi has expressed confidence that new Beşiktaş signing Tammy Abraham will thrive at the Turkish giants, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Abraham, who was born in England to Nigerian parents, represents the Three Lions at the international level but remains closely followed by Nigerian football circles.

Amokachi, fondly remembered for his successful spell at Beşiktaş where he scored 25 goals and provided 23 assists in 112 appearances, believes Abraham has what it takes to make a significant impact at the club.

The former Chelsea academy product recently joined Beşiktaş on loan from AS Roma, with an option for a permanent transfer.

Beşiktaş will pay a €2 million loan fee for the 2025–2026 season, while the option to make the move permanent will cost €13 million, payable in instalments from the 2026–2027 season through 2030.

Abraham’s career has seen him feature for clubs like Aston Villa, AC Milan, and AS Roma, and Amokachi is convinced that the 26-year-old will quickly win over the Beşiktaş faithful.

Speaking to Süperbahis, Amokachi said: “Tammy, I see the potential in you to become the next Black Bull.”

He added that the club’s passionate fans would rally behind Abraham as long as he delivers in front of goal.

“You can count on that. This season is going to be something special,” Amokachi concluded.
