Amusan, Enekwechi, Others Shine At Silesia Diamond League

Nigerian athletes that competed in the Silesia Diamond League in Poland were at their very best in various athletics events, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Nigeria's Queen of the track, Tobi Amusan, who narrowly made the final, clocking 12.48s to finish 4th in her heat, improved on that mark in the final to run her 3rd fastest time in history.
Chukwuebuka Enekwechi continued his build-up to the World Championships next month, competing in the men's Shot Put event at the Silesia Diamond League.
Enekwechi threw a mark of 21.58m to finish 7th in the event, with USA's Payton Otterdahl taking the win, throwing a mark of 22.28m while Italy's Leonardo Fabri finished 2nd with 22.10m and Joe Kovacs 3rd throwing a distance of 21.82m.
Also, Ezekiel Nathaniel delivered a scintillating Personal Best and National Record of 47.31s to finish 2nd in the men's 400m hurdles.
World Record holder Karsten Warholm blazed to a World Lead of 46.28 for the emphatic victory while Abderrahman Samba was 3rd in 47.34s in the 400m hurdles.
Elsewhere, Favour Ofili finished 3rd in 22.25s in the women's 200m while the reigning World Champion, Shericka Jackson grabbed the win, running a Season's Best of 22.17s and Olympic Bronze medalist, Brittany Brown finished 2nd in 22.21s.
