Nigeria’s track star Tobi Amusan has said she is not under pressure to win a gold medal at the Olympics following her second place in the 2024 Atlanta City Games, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Amusan finished in second place behind America’s Kendra Harrison in the early hours of Sunday.

While speaking to the Making of Champ after the race, the American-based athlete made it clear that she was just executing her plan accordingly.

“No pressure, just having fun. One day at a time, one race at a time, no pressure on. When it’s time for Paris, we’ll definitely show up in Paris.

"I’m not really worried about time; I just want to execute and get the win; that’s most important. That’s something me and my coaches have been working on, so when we get to championships, we will be worried about time."
