Amusan Sets New African Record In 60m Hurdles

Oluwatobi Amusan has made a flying start to the season, as she clocked 7.77s to win the women’s 60m hurdles as the World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold kicked off in Astana, Kazakhstan, on Saturday, January 27, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The 26-year-old thus set a new African record, thrashing Gloria Alozie’s record of 7.82s, which she set 25 years ago.

Amusan has become the second fastest time in the world this year to set a new personal best of 7.77s.
