By Alfred Kadiri
Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst confirms that Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo is close to a move to Premier League side, reports BSNSports.com.ng.
The Dutch legend spoke to Skysport on Thursday in Portugal, where Rangers are having their pre-season training.
The Nigerian who has agreed personal terms with Southampton is set to complete his move as he will undergo medical tests on either Friday or Saturday. Both UK clubs have also agreed on £6million fee plus transfer fee plus add-ons, £10million in total package.
"Aribo has been an important player for the club and have been very good in the last year, as his development was very good.
"He has the ambition to play in the Premier League and that's probably what is going to happen in the near future.
"But it's what you want as a club, to get talents into the club and develop them to really good players and eventually, the players have their own ambitions but what he has done for this club has been fantastic.
"Off course I did talk to him about his future last season, he has been playing for Rangers in the last three years and it's also the natural way for players to develop themselves career wise, to see where's is level is.
"Playing in the Premier League is good as there won't come a stronger leagues than that in the world."
