Armed Robbery Attack Forces Premier League Players To Flee Into Bushes

Players and officials of Berekum Chelsea were forced to flee for safety after armed robbers attacked the team along the Ayeresu area on Sunday night, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to reports, the incident occurred on the Gorso road between Bibiani and a nearby community known as B-Town.
The team was traveling when they encountered a roadblock mounted by the attackers, bringing their bus to an abrupt halt.
Sensing danger, the driver attempted to reverse the vehicle, but the robbers reportedly advanced towards the bus, escalating the situation.
In the chaos that followed, several players and members of the contingent abandoned the vehicle and fled into nearby bushes for safety.
Eyewitness accounts indicate that the attackers opened fire during the incident, further heightening panic among the occupants of the bus.
No casualties have been officially confirmed at the time of filing this report, while details regarding injuries or stolen valuables remain unclear.
The attack has raised fresh concerns over the safety of teams traveling for matches in the Ghana Premier League, with calls expected for enhanced security measures to protect players and officials on transit routes.
