Arokodare Hails Wolves Duo After Loss To Chelsea

Ibrahim Lateef

Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare has named two Wolves team-mates who stood out during Saturday’s home defeat to Chelsea, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

Chelsea left Molineux with all three points thanks to a Cole Palmer hat-trick in a 3-1 victory.

Two penalties saw the Blues take the game away from their hosts before Palmer added a third before half-time.

Arokodare scored a consolation after the break, but it was too late for Wanderers to stage a fight-back as they went down to a 19th league defeat of the season.

Adam Armstrong and Angel Gomes made their debut, as Armstrong assisted Arokodare's goal.

The Nigerian said: “I think we all saw them – they were both exceptional.

"That shows the quality they bring to the team. I’m very, very happy for them on their debuts for the team, how they played, how they performed.

"They played like they've been here the whole season, like they've been training with us the whole season. You can see how they blended in well, they've been amazing in training, and hopefully more of this is to come from them.”
