Genk striker Tolu Arokodare has narrowly missed out on the Belgian Pro League’s Player of the Season accolade, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Despite finishing the 2024/25 campaign as the league's top scorer, Arokodare was overlooked in the final voting.

He secured 24.20% of the votes from coaches and fellow players, placing third overall.

The award went to Club Brugge midfielder Ardon Jashari, who received 32.33% of the votes.

His teammate Hans Vanaken came in second with 27.79%.

While Arokodare didn’t clinch the top individual prize, he was honored with the Top Scorer award and the Ebony Boot, given to the best African player in the league.

Genk, despite a solid regular season performance, also fell short of winning the league title.
