Arokodare Refuses To Give Up On Title Chase

Despite Genk’s recent setback, Nigerian forward and Super Eagles star Tolulope Arokodare remains confident in his team’s title ambitions, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Genk suffered a surprising 2-1 defeat to Union Saint-Gilloise, with Arokodare netting the lone goal for the Limburgers.

The loss leaves them trailing Club Brugge by two points in the title race. “The disappointment is great. I don’t think Union was much better, but they took their chances — we didn’t,” Arokodare said.

However, the striker remains optimistic: “There are still games to play,” he added, as he reaffirmed the team’s determination to stay in the title hunt.

Arokodare is currently Genk’s top scorer this season.
