Arokodare Thrilled To Rejoin Top Scorers In Belgian League

Tolu Arokodare has expressed his delight at reclaiming a spot among the top scorers in the Belgian Pro League, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Genk striker found the back of the net in his team’s emphatic 4-1 win over KAA Gent on Sunday. Arokodare has now scored 17 goals during the regular season and added four more in the Championship playoffs, bringing his total tally to 21.

He now shares the top scorer position with St. Truiden’s Adriano Bertaccini, who also has 21 goals — 16 in the regular season and five in the playoffs.

“It feels great to be the top scorer again,” Arokodare told DAZN. “I knew I wouldn’t start the game, and that’s understandable. We have many players who deserve minutes in the playoffs.”
