Arrested Senegalese Fans Face Jail Terms As Appeal Court Upholds Judgment

The Rabat Court of Appeal has upheld the sentences handed down to a group of Senegalese football supporters, confirming the earlier ruling of a lower court, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to the judgment, nine supporters will serve one-year prison terms, while six others received six-month sentences. 

An additional three supporters were handed three-month jail terms. The fines imposed during the initial trial were also maintained.

However, three of the convicted supporters are expected to be released this Saturday, having completed their three-month sentences.

The ruling brings closure to the legal proceedings, as the appeal court reaffirmed the penalties without any modifications.
