Ian Wright has urged Arsenal to resign Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi from fellow Premier League side Everton, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian has shown real quality for the Toffees in recent months, playing primarily as a central midfielder for manager Frank Lampard.

Having forced joined to Everton due to lack of playing time at the Emirates for £40 million in 2019, many Gunners fans felt they had gotten an outstanding deal from that transfer.

"I'm so pleased with the way it's going for him," the Arsenal legend told the Wrighty's House podcast.

"I remember Arsenal fans, it's the same thing they did with Oxlade-Chamberlain, they ridiculed him.

"His ball progression and work rate, what Frank has now recognised him and put him there, listen to the Everton fans when he's doing his work, they are adoring him now. I'm loving the way it's working out for Iwobi.

Iwobi, who's enjoying life at the Goodinson Park this season under Lampard said: "I feel like I'm part of the Evertonian family. I haven't got the scouse accent yet, which I'll never get. But yeah I feel like I'm one of them, one of Everton.”
