Asaba 2022: Ogun State Govt Splashes Naira On Athletes

Following their outstanding feat in the just concluded National Sports Festival in Asaba, Delta State, the Ogun state government has splashed the cash on its athletes, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.

Team Ogun finished in 8th position with a total of 70 medals including 15 Gold medals to their name.

The state government announced a cash reward of N1 million naira to the gold medalists, N500,000 to the Silver medalists and N250,000 to the Bronze medalists while N100,000 will go to the athletes that failed to win medals.

As the state will be the host for the 2024 edition of the festival, the government also confirmed that the athletes will be in camp for a year ahead of the events
