Aside N12 Billion, NFF Gets N1.5 Billion Budget From Federal Government

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), who once boasted were financially independent of the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN), have received a bigger total budget allocation of 1.5 Billion Naira for 2024,
This is outside the recent intervention vote of 12 Billion Naira to pay off outstanding bonuses and allowances of the Super Eagles and other national teams.
The budget is also an improvement of the 1.1 Billion Naira they received last year (2023) from the FGN.
A breakdown of this total allocation shows that 127,532,115 Naira will cover capital expenditure, 220,488,641 Naira is for personnel, while overhead will gulp 1,205,870,033 Naira.
The overhead has 800 Million Naira for sporting activities.
The total allocation is 1,553.890,789 Naira.
Supervising ministry of the NFF, the Sports Ministry has got approval of 28 Billion Naira for its own budget in 2024.
