Atalanta Combs Europe For Lookman's Buyers
Ibrahim Lateef
According to Dean Jones of TeamTalk, Atalanta have contacted various clubs around Europe in recent days attempting to facilitate selling Tottenham Hotspur target Ademola Lookman, reports BSNSports.com.ng.
A permanent transfer would cost around £35-40M although a late loan deal has not been ruled out either.
Tottenham still yet to officially make a move for Ademola Lookman as they remain in the race for Savinho.
Due to Lookman’s situation, the deal is seen as an easy one to get done quickly as the player is very keen on a move. Personal terms not an issue.
Given this scenario, Lookman emerges as a realistic and more affordable option.
The 26-year-old Nigerian striker was key to Atalanta's attack last season, scoring 17 goals and providing 10 assists in all competitions, establishing himself as one of the most disruptive attackers in Serie A.
The profile that Tottenham is looking for Coach Thomas Frank wants to add dynamism and depth to his squad, especially on the wings.
In this sense, Lookman fits the style he's looking to implement: a fast-paced player with the ability to move forward and decide important matches.
Spurs management believes the Nigerian international can complement players like Xavi Simons, who recently signed for £52 million.
