Athletics: NAC Tasks Sports Minister To Improve On Athletes Welfare Package

The Nigeria Athletes Commission has congratulated the new Minister of Sports, Senator John Enoh on his appointment, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The commission made this known to the journalists, from Its Annual General Assembly, on Tuesday, as it congratulated the minister, and charged him to focus more on an improved welfare package for Nigerian athletes. 

"We want to use this medium to finally congratulate you on your appointment as the minister of youth and sports development."

"However, we want you to focus more on the welfare package of the Nigeria athletes, which hasn't been focused on by the past Sports Ministries."

"But, we also that you are going to help in the area of improving the welfare package for all the Nigerian athletes."

Nigeria’s athletes took part in the World Athletics Championship that was held in Budapest, Hungary, between August 19th – 27th, 2023.

The team of 25 athletes, comprising 11 males and 15 female athletes, including Women’s 100m hurdles world record holder, and Green flag at the annual track and field event.
