Austria Bundesliga: Why We Signed Tijani - Wolfsberger Manager

The manager of Austria Bundesliga club Wolfsberger Manfred Schmid has explained the reason they opted for Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder Samson Tijani, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Former Golden Eaglet skipper joined Wolfsberger on Wednesday on loan from RB Salzburg.

Schmid said his aggression and tackling skills are the reasons they signed him despite having many options.

“With his running and tackling skills as well as his aggressiveness, Samson has everything that is needed for a defensive midfield position.

 So I'm very happy that we were able to win him over and I'm looking forward to working with him", he said.

Tijani made his Super Eagles debut in October 2020 in an international friendly match against Algeria.
