Awoniyi Allays Injury Fears
By Sampson Adedeji
After being subbed off in the game against West Ham United, Nigeria's Super Eagles and Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi has allayed injury fear, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Awoniyi scored for the fifth time this season when he slid home in first-half stoppage time.
In the second half, he went off on seemingly injured but he’s now erased any fears that supporters might have had.
"I’m fine it was just part of the plan from the manager so that I’m not overplayed", he saidÂ
The Reds really must focus on keeping him fit and firing for the remainder of the campaign.
Yesterday, his goal was simply sublime and he gave the West Ham defenders a torrid time leading the Forest line.
The key since Forest signed Awoniyi from Union Berlin has been keeping him fit for prolonged periods.
Forest are still in a fierce battle against relegation and the chances of staying in the division hinge largely on having Awoniyi available.
