It was a mixed feeling for Nigeria's Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi who returned to action for Nottingham Forest after spending over 2 months in the treatment room, BSNSports.com.ng report.

It was the injury that ruled the lanky attacker out of the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

He started the game against Arsenal on the bench and it was the duo of Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka that gave the Gunners the lead in the second half.

.Awoniyi was introduced into the game in the 46th minute and made his presence count as he halved the deficit in the 89th minute as the game ended 1-2 in favour of the London club
