Super Falcons and FC Rosengard midfielder, Halimatu Ayinde said she is excited and honoured to bag the Most Valuable Sports Woman of the Year award, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Ayinde, who bagged the award at the 2023 Sports Legendary Awards and issued by Solomon Omonokhua hailed the organizers for recognizing her efforts in the game of football. 

Ayinde expressed joy at the gesture, saying: "I'm honored and grateful to be named the Most Valuable Sports Woman of the Year 2023.

"Thanks to everyone who has been a part of this journey. This award is a testament to hard work, dedication, and the amazing support from fans, teammates. Excited for what the future holds."
