BAL 2023: Kwara Falcons, US Monastir Officially Out

The defending champions of the African Basketball League US Monastir are officially out of this year's competition, BSNSports.com.ng report.

The Tunisian side confronted AS Douanes in the final game of the Southern Conference on Tuesday and suffered a surprise defeat.

It took hours to find out the final ranking of the Sahara Conference which ended on Tuesday.

Five teams completed the competition with 3 wins and two losses with the same winning percentage.

The difference in scores finally made it possible to make the classification. Stade Malien finished in first place followed by AS Douanes, Rwanda Energy Group, and ABC Fighters.

They are the 4 qualified teams. Union Sportive Monastir, which conceded the most points, fell to 4th place.

Kwara Falcons who did not win a match were already eliminated before the last day.

The defending champion will not be traveling for the Final 8 in Kigali next May.
