With a few days to the start of the 2023 regional African Basketball League, AS Douanes of Senegal coach Abdoulaye Gueye PABI has picked the Tunisian side US Monastir as their toughest opponent and also revealed the plans they have for others in the group including Kwara Falcons, BSNSports.com.ng report.

The Senegalese side that participated in the 2021 edition of the competition will be hosting the Southern Conference which is expected to start on March 11.

While speaking from the team's camp in Senegal, PABI said the defending champions are more experienced and have national team players in their ranks.

He further stated that they will be relying on home support to get out of the group.

"Certainly, the champions, US Monastir. They practically represent the national team of Tunisia, the African champion and champion of the BAL. It's a lot of experience.

Compared to our players who play in a loca local and amateur championship must not hide the face, they evolve in a professional championship with a big budget.

And it counts internationally. But that does not prevent us from setbacks. Especially since we play at home, with our fans to win our matches", he said.
