BAL 2024: Why We Lost To Rivers Hoopers - APR Captain

Williams Robeyns, captain of the Rwandan Champions APR, has revealed the reason they suffered defeat against Nigeria's Rivers Hoopers, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

APR surprised everyone on Saturday by beating former champions US Monastir but they found Hoppers a hard nut to crack on Sunday.

Despite being very good in the attack, APR still lost 82-86 to the Nigerians.

Williams admitted that they were very poor defensively and allowed Hoppers to torment their backline.

“We didn’t play well defensively. We are going to watch a film, focus on defence, and try to move forward.

“We scored 82 points today. Offensively we are good, we just need to put more emphasis on our defence, ” he added.

APR will face AS Douanes on Tuesday while Hoopers will confront US Monastir.
