Despite securing back-to-back wins in the Kalahari Conference of the 2025 Basketball Africa League (BAL), Rivers Hoopers head coach Ogoh Odaudu has emphasized that his team is still developing, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian side opened their campaign with impressive victories over Stade Malien and FUS Rabat, sparking optimism among fans who now view them as serious contenders.

However, Coach Odaudu remains grounded about the team’s progress.

"We're still a work in progress. We’re not yet where we believe we should be,” he said.

“We’re constantly working on improving. This year’s team is quite similar to last year’s, but we’ve made a few changes that have made us more dangerous.”

“The goal from the beginning was to compete, and we’re sticking to that. We’re taking it one game at a time.”
