BAL 2026: Nigeria’s Maktown Flyers To Face Côte d’Ivoire In Opener

Rabat, Morocco will host the Sahara Conference of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) from April 24 to May 3, 2026, as top clubs across the continent converge for another competitive showdown, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Nigeria’s Maktown Flyers are set to begin their campaign against Côte d’Ivoire on April 25, according to the official fixtures released for the conference.
The tournament will tip off on April 24 with Senegal taking on Tunisia in the opening game, while host side Morocco will face Côte d’Ivoire later the same day.
On April 25, alongside Maktown Flyers’ opener, Egypt will clash with Senegal in what promises to be another exciting encounter.
The fixtures continue on April 26 with Nigeria taking on Morocco, while Côte d’Ivoire will battle Tunisia.
Maktown Flyers will return to action on April 29 against Egypt, as Senegal face Morocco in the corresponding fixture.
On May 1, the Nigerian side will wrap up their group phase matches against Tunisia, while Egypt confront Côte d’Ivoire.
The Sahara Conference is expected to deliver high-quality basketball as teams compete for qualification to the next stage of the BAL.
